Pat Comly, MSW, LCSW

Social Worker

Pat Comly has been an adoption social worker with Madison Adoption Associates since 2020, but joined MAA after working in the field of both domestic and international adoption for 18 years with several other agencies. Pat has worked with both birth parents, adoptive parents and managed international adoption and older child domestic adoption programs. She has a deep commitment to adoption work and feels truly blessed to help children find the love and security of a permanent and loving home.

Pat holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Fordham University. She began her social work career working as a mental health counselor in a residential program for adults with mental illnesses who were being deinstitutionalized and helped to live back in the community. Before moving into the adoption field Pat directed a Medical Adult Day Care Center providing support services, medical care and daily meals and activities for elderly clients.

Pat is a proud adoptive mom to one daughter, Elizabeth, who was born in China. Her daughter is now 20 years old and majoring in social work at a NJ state college. They reside in Northern New Jersey with 2 rescue dogs that keep them busy with daily walks and binge-watching animal shows on Netflix! Pat also enjoys gardening, baking and traveling.  Her favorite places are the Jersey Shore, the Lake George area,  and Austin, Texas where the rest of their family lives.
