Kristen Slomka has worked since 2004 as an international social worker for several agencies. Kristen takes pride in preparing families to adopt internationally and in supporting families as they grow together through adoption. She feels strongly that international adoption is a lifelong journey that enriches all involved in the process. In addition to her work in adoption, Kristen has extensive experience in community mental health services and is part of a transracial family. Kristen and her husband, Jim, have four sons who are 21, 15, 14 and 13 years old. They adopted one of their children from Russia, one from foster care in PA, and are permanent legal guardians of one of the boys. Kristen graduated from Elon University and earned her Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Troy State University.
