Is the hustle and bustle of back-to-school getting in the way of quality time with your child? Do you desire to build a strong connection with your child? Then unplug and recharge at Madison Adoption Associates’ Nurture Group! Every 3rd Thursday of the month, beginning in September, we invite you to join us and learn TBRI (Trust Based Relational Intervention) based techniques that will nourish your bond with your child. Laura Taylor, our Clinical Supervisor and TBRI Certified Practitioner will lead the group and teach you different techniques that you can utilize to strengthen your connection with your child.
Laura Taylor, MA, has over 25 years of experience working in social services. Laura graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. After working in the field for several years, she returned to school and earned a Master of Arts in Counseling from Antioch University, Seattle, WA. Most recently, Laura has become certified as a TBRI Practitioner and trained in Theraplay. Laura has experience working with children who have experienced trauma. She promotes recovery through counseling and supports positive family relationships. Her career includes crisis intervention, clinical supervision, and education. Laura was an adjunct faculty member at Wilmington University.
Open to: Parents (adoptive, biological, foster, step, waiting) and their children 4-years-old and older (adoptive, biological, foster, step). **Due to the one-on-one, interactive nature of this group, only bring one child per parent please**
